Broderbund Enters Hot CD-Burning Category - Signs
Exclusive Publishing Agreement With NTI
NOVATO, Calif., Sept. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Broderbund, a leading publisher of rich media
software, today announced that it has signed an agreement to publish the award winning NTI
CD-Maker, a CD-Burning product produced by NewTech Infosystems, Inc., (NTI) a leading
software developer for CD-R/RW recording devices. Under the terms of the agreement,
Broderbund will be the exclusive distributor of the product through retail and school
channels worldwide with certain OEM distribution rights.
NTI CD-Maker has been acclaimed for enabling reliable, fast and easy CD burning. Its
two-step interface walks users through powerful and unique features. It's a versatile program
that meets the CD recording needs of both novices and professionals.
According to Eric Winkler, vice president of marketing at Broderbund, the tremendous fit
between Broderbund's market leading rich media and productivity software, such as The
Print Shop and Family Tree Maker and NTI CD-Maker, enable the company to offer a blend
of synergistic solutions to retailers, new customers and its 40 million users worldwide.

The agreement with NTI follows last week's announcement that Broderbund is expanding its

NTI CD-Maker will ship in the U.S. through retail and other channels in the fourth quarter of 2001.
